Statement of Faith

1
God
We believe in one sovereign and eternal God who exists in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Triune God is perfect in holiness, justice, wisdom, and love. Though the Father, Son, and Spirit are distinct in person, they are one in essence and work together in perfect unity to accomplish God’s redemptive purposes in the world.
Scripture:
Deuteronomy 6:4;
Matthew 3:16–17; 28:19;
2 Corinthians 13:14
2
God the Father
We believe the Father is the Creator of heaven and earth, who brought all things into being by His word and sustains them by His power. He governs history according to His sovereign will and invites all people into a personal relationship with Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Scripture:
Genesis 1:1; Psalm 33:6–9;
Isaiah 64:8; Ephesians 1:3–6
3
Jesus Christ, the Son

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who took on human flesh to redeem humanity. Fully God and fully human, He lived a sinless life, offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for our sins through His death on the cross, and rose bodily from the dead on the third day. He ascended to heaven and now reigns at the right hand of the Father. Jesus is our Savior and Lord, and all who follow Him are called to live by His teachings and walk in His grace.
Scripture:
John 1:1, 14; John 3:16–18; 1 Corinthians 15:3–8;
Philippians 2:5–11; Hebrews 4:15
4
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit lives in all believers from the moment of salvation. He teaches, comforts, convicts, empowers, and forms Christlike character in the lives of God’s people. The Spirit equips believers with spiritual gifts to build up the church, strengthen its mission, and serve others for the glory of Christ.
Scripture:
John 14:26; 16:7–15; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9–16;
1 Corinthians 12:4–11;
Galatians 5:22–23
5
The Bible
We believe the Bible, comprising all 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, authoritative Word of God. Through human authors guided by the Holy Spirit, God reveals His character, His saving work in Christ, and His will for humanity. Scripture is trustworthy, relevant, and the foundation for faith, life, and doctrine.
Scripture:
Psalm 119:105; Matthew 24:35;
2 Timothy 3:14–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Hebrews 4:12
6
Salvation
We believe that every person is created in the image of God but separated from Him because of sin. Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, not a result of human effort or good works. It is received by repenting from sin and placing faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Through Christ’s atoning sacrifice, believers are forgiven, adopted into God’s family, and given eternal life.
Scripture:
Isaiah 53:5–6; John 1:12;
Romans 3:23–24; 5:8; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8–9;
Titus 3:4–7
7
Baptism
We believe baptism is a Christ-given sign of new life in Him. It is a visible expression of an inward reality—that a person has turned to Jesus in repentance and faith and now belongs to Him. Baptism symbolizes our union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection and our cleansing from sin.
Baptism is a joyful, public declaration of faith before the church and the world. While baptism is an important act of obedience, our confidence is not in the act itself but in the saving work of Jesus Christ alone.
Scripture:
Matthew 3:13–17; Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38–41; Romans 6:3–4; Colossians 2:12
8
Communion
We believe in the regular partaking of Communion by believers as an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross and renewing our commitment to His mission. In sharing the bread and the cup, we proclaim Christ’s death, give thanks for His grace, and strengthen our unity with Him and with one another.
Scripture:
Luke 22:19–20;
1 Corinthians 10:16–17; 11:23–26
9
The Church
We believe the Church is the body and bride of Christ, made up of all who have placed their faith in Him. The Church includes people from every nation, tribe, and background, united by their identity in Christ. God calls the Church to gather for worship, prayer, teaching, fellowship, baptism, and Communion; and to scatter into the world to serve, share the gospel, and demonstrate Christ’s love in word and deed.
Scripture: Matthew 28:19–20;
Acts 2:42–47; Romans 12:3–8; Ephesians 2:19–22; 4:11–16; Revelation 7:9
